Louisiana Tech showed a dominating performance against the Centenary Gents Tuesday night. The Dogs won the game in only three sets with scores of 30-28, 25-23, and 25-16. Due to sickness, the Dogs played with a somewhat hindered team - as they were missing their two starting outsides and backup. However, with slight adjustments, including the libero, Josh Holland, playing outside, the Dogs found a way to make it work.
After a very close game the first set, the Dogs were firing on all cylinders for the remainder of the match. This included the starting setter, Colin Clement, controling the offense with 35 assists. Logan Sanders, a starting middle blocker, had a career high performance of 21 kills, 13 digs, 4 aces, and 3.5 blocks. Josh Holland also controlled the defense with a career high of 20 digs. The team showed true potential as they proved that even illness cannot slow them down.
The Dogs are back on the road on March 19th as they compete in the first ever Tri-20 Tournament against Centenary and ULM.
