The Bulldogs pulled a winning weekend in Houston, Texas in their first Conference Tournament this past weekend. With an extremely busy schedule, Louisiana Tech's A-Team showed up and showed out against thier opponents: LSU, UTSA, North Texas, and Univ. of Texas at Dallas.
Following their tough loss on the road at the LSU Mardi Gras Classic, the Bulldogs saught to make a name for themselves as the defeated the LSU C-Team with scores of 25-20, 17-25, and 16-14. The Dogs unfortunately followed this win with a loss to USTA - a somewhat rival from previous years. Louisiana Tech continued the tournament with two more wins against North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas, going 3-1 on the weekend.
Also on the travel list, for the first time in school history, was the Louisiana Tech B-Team. On their side of the bracket, the Dogs were scheduled to play against Rice, North Texas, St. Edwards Univ., and Southern Methodist. Due to several injuries on the team, the team faced a rough road ahead of them. Although there was much to be proud about, the Dogs pulled away with an overall record of 0-4. Despite the losses, the Dogs showed an extreme amount of potential in which they plan to prove in thier next tournament in April.
